Although the workshop is clinical in nature, practitioners will learn in an experiential retreat-like format, which allows for simultaneous personal growth as well as professional growth. The workshop provides an opportunity to "practice" what we will be teaching to our clients.

* Psycho-educational teaching - Integrating CBT & EIT;
* Identify patterns of behavior as either pathways or roadblocks;
* Discover social and cultural influences (or lack thereof) on unmet needs;
* Learn and practice in break-out small groups the VCR method of communication;
* Differentiate between external and internal sources of stress;
* Identify top 10 personal needs; then narrow down to top personal need (it is more difficult than you might be inclined to think);
* Integrate past disappointments into the totality of who you are for overall healing;
* Learn and practice in break-out small groups the 3 C's and 3 G's for moving on;
* Complete an EmotionaI Intelligence Profile;
* Meditation: mindfulness of the present moment in collaboration with awareness and willingness to move into the next chapter;
* Closing ceremony: Welcome and integrate your discarded self.
